Why Routine Is One Of The Best Gifts To Give Yourself!

Life can be crazy, there’s no denying that.

Do you often feel that there are not enough hours in the day? Feeling like 24 hours are just not cutting it?

While it certainly is a challenge getting everything done in a specific time period there are steps you can take to smooth the bumps in the road as you go about your day.

In this blog we will look at that thing called ROUTINE and how you can incorporate it easily into your day and how it can help you be more productive.

HOW TO SET UP A MORNING ROUTINE

Routine is something which not everyone is au fait with and some even hate the thought of living by a routine, however if you are a busy business owner and have a million and ten things to get done daily, routine is your best friend.

The best way to incorporate routine is to start your day with it – so in other words, a morning routine or ritual. Some of the most successful people in the world swear by and live by their morning ritual.

Here are some ways you too can benefit from your own morning ritual:

START WITH GRATITUDE: When you first wake in the morning, instead of thinking, “Oh no, not another day”, or, “Oh my goodness, so much to do today”, rather start with, “Today I am going to be successful”, “Watch out world here I come”, or even something as simple, “Thank you for another day”.

H20 TO GO: Splashing your face with some cold water is a great way to awaken the senses and refresh the soul, but also a big glass of H20 first thing before your morning cuppa can kickstart your inner workings too. Add a dash of lemon and you are good to go.

HEALTHY BODY = HEALTHY MIND: Next a lot of people choose some sort of exercise, either yoga, a jog, a session in the gym, whatever tickles your fancy, whatever gets your heart rate up, go and do that. It has being shown that exercise first thing in the morning can be extremely beneficial and a great way to kick start your day.

Add in a good hearty, healthy breakfast after that workout and you are definitely on the right track.

Now these are purely a guideline for what you could do for your morning routine, perhaps you prefer to add in some things like read a few chapters from an inspirational book, take a look at your favorite section in the newspaper, or maybe you even enjoy a bit of meditation to center yourself.

Whatever it is, start doing it now and reap the rewards … now!

ENDING THE DAY RIGHT

Now having that morning ritual is all good and well and is definitely a start, but you would be remiss to think that you can just end your day and forget about an evening routine. Having an evening routine is almost as important as the morning one, because ending the day right means a more restful night’s sleep, which means a happier waking the next morning.

Some ideas for a night time routine could be; meditation, some light exercise like yoga or a walk in the fresh air. I know a lot of people end the day with gratitude too and tend to use a gratitude journal to list all the great things that happened during the day. A nice long bubble bath or a warm shower and then climbing into a comfy bed – as early as possible – are all good things to do.

Something else that works is to try as far as possible to go to bed and wake up at the same time everyday – this way your internal clock stays at its optimum level.

So in conclusion, we can safely say there is nothing bad about a routine, it can just be difficult to establish it and stick with it, and it can take anything from 21 to 200 days to implement the change but once you get it, it will be so worth it. Find what works for you, start today, stick with it and enjoy your new found productivity!

WHY WOULD A BUSINESS NEED ME? THE VIRTUAL ASSISTANT…

As a virtual assistant, you are a business owner providing another business owner with a service. The service offered can be extremely diverse and it all depends on your skillset as a VA. Now you may be thinking, “I have never done any personal assistant work, how can I become a virtual assistant?” Well, believe me, you do not need years of experience as a PA to start on this VA career path. All the skills you have learned throughout your life are transferable and you can create services based on this. There will always be something that you can do that someone else cannot and you will then be able to use that skill, that knowledge to benefit the business at hand. You will ultimately save the company money in the long run, develop strategies for business growth. Free up the time of the business owner so they may focus their energies elsewhere. You will be a major asset to their business.

BENEFITS

Been a VA in someone’s business means that you allow them to focus on what they do best, grow their business and make money. You use your specific skill set to do the things that they don’t like doing, or in some cases things that they can’t do. The benefits for you are flexible, you are a business owner and you get to learn new things all the time.

TIPS AND TRICKS

One of my biggest tips, when you are starting on this VA journey, is – remember that you are not employed by a company and therefore you are now responsible for ensuring you have finances to cover taxes, sick leave, holidays and national insurance. So always make sure your monthly or annual salary can cover these costs. Now to circle back to the learning of new things – that is another very big ‘must-have’ in my opinion. Get as much training as possible; workshops, paid training, free training, any time you get the opportunity to learn something new, take it as it will be extremely beneficial for you on your VA journey. I also believe that the only way to grow your business is to reach out to people. Reach out to people in your network and talk about what you do, the sort of service you can offer them and why they should be hiring you. Tools that help with this are business cards, and something great to have at hand is a Virtual Assistant Brochure. The Virtual Assistant Brochure is a fabulous tool if you do not have a website. Create something eye-catching and informative highlighting your top skills, packages on offer and so forth and send that off in an email to potential clients. You will be amazed at the response you will get from this.

OVERVIEW

The world is ever-changing, technology is ever-changing and with that, it means the option to work from home is becoming somewhat of a norm. Take this time to start your virtual business. Network, learn and you will be successful!

Why can a VA have a positive impact on your business?

20638823_10159224795770594_3255313692613151388_n

Remote Set Up

Virtual Assistants, also known as VAs, already have a fully equipped home office and can support businesses around the world over the internet, so no need to spend money expanding your business and buying new equipment or searching for someone local.

Outsourcing
Having a VA on board gives you more time to focus ON your business instead of IN your business. You can outsource repetitive, mundane and time-consuming tasks, back-end admin or tasks you don’t know how to do, don’t like to do or don’t have the time to do.
More Time Ultimately,
having a VA gives you time to use elsewhere so you can build your clientele; focus on other aspects of your business to grow and earn more money; or even have more time to spend at home doing the things you love, with less stress and worry.
Who wouldn’t want that? With more time on your hands, you get to choose what you do with it and where you spend it?
I would love to hear from you to see what you would spend 5 extra hours a week on if you had them available!

Client Meeting perk’s

Working from home is different than being in an office environment. Firstly you are going solo which has so many benefits, however, you have to have that drive to motivate yourself and self-discipline every day. Yesterday I met a new client, we had a chance to catch up and talk more in detail about her requirements, this lovely cafe was our office space for an hour.

My client has asked for my support, week by week basis. Seven hours per week to start with and a few full days to support an event. Building the relationship as we go along is really important to us both, commitment, values and vision.

Being Virtual does not always have to mean being virtual.

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT?

faq WHAT IS A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT?

This is my take on a Virtual Assistant if you run a business  Firstly, a Virtual Assistant known as a VA is a support network for you, an individual who can take numerous tasks and workload from you to enable you to focus more on the day to day running of your business. An extension of your business, a secret weapon or silent rockstar behind the scenes in your business. Your go-to girl (or guy) when you need an urgent flight booking, invoices chasing up, social media tracking, inbox clearing, email responses, research, event planning, the list is endless.

You know your business and I can help you understand what to outsource. From an hour a week to 30+ hours a month, a VA can take those tasks that you really dislike or the ones you feel take too much time. This will then free your mind and diary to focus on what really drives you in your business. Giving your time and attention to your passion’s, family, vacations, pets, whatever it is that you want to dedicate your free time too.

I would love to connect to see where I can make positive changes in your day to day life, alternatively, If you to take a look at the packages I offer  LETS CONNECT.

National Make Your Dreams Come True Day

Lindsey-0256Today is……National Make Your Dreams Come True Day.

I have just planned our next trip back to the UK !! April for 2-3 weeks, if I want to make it longer I can do. Someone asked me last week what is it you will be doing in your new business, what exactly is your job? The easiest way to describe this is I am a personal assistant to business owners, I take all the tasks on that they don’t want to do or like doing which allows them to focus on their bigger goals and things that light them up. So effectively I look after people online, it’s all virtual – hence The Virtual Assistant.

As long as I have my laptop & wifi I can work from the UK or Dubai. I can support my clients no matter where I am in the world, which for me is a dream come true in itself. Moving to Dubai a few years ago was the most exciting and scary thing I have ever done, last year I missed home so much. At times I wanted to go back home, but since hiring my business coach’s in September and putting the ideas of a new venture onto paper it has felt so right, step by step week by week. I have had to make some tough decisions and let go of things in my life that did not add value anymore. For almost 3 years I have been saying my goal is to live between the UK and Dubai, and finally, that time is now.
I feel so excited what is to come this year, I will be raising the bar yet again! If there is one thing I have learned in the last few years its Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions. So my advice is to get a piece of paper, brainstorm your dreams and get to work on one that’s important to you. If you want any help with this to drop me a message and I would be happy to share some of my tips with you. Happy Saturday <3

The willingness to inspire others

f7d912084ee197eb1e084a8c441ab41b--girl-power-quotes-girl-boss-quotes

Being in business for yourself is sometimes a lot harder than what people think.

It takes the drive, determination, and self-motivation. Having to learn new things to move forward and develop yourself all the time. I like most women have tough days, days where I question myself and my ability. Also, the days where you feel completely unstoppable and like you totally own it. I have recently revisited a book I read a few months ago to assess myself. Sounds a little odd right, but reviewing your performance is an absolute must to enable you to move forward. If you don’t learn where your weak areas are or know your strengths how can you maximise your potential and build on the new skills?

What keeps me going ?!

It is my fight, my belief that I can achieve all I desire and not to give up, the willingness to inspire others. Along the way a few twists and turns may happen, sometimes what we plan may not go according to plan, but if you keep on going you will get where you want to be. In my next blog, I will share with you the questions I used to assess myself and the honest answers I wrote!
For now be the best version of your beautiful self.

We never really think about happening to us

    “Ladies

We have just finished a month for breast cancer awareness, the Dubai fitness challenge is in full swing and the next thing you know it will be 2018.

Health and Happiness has never been so important and we can easily take our lifestyle for granted.

However, 2 of my friends are going through a situation that is life changing for their whole family, due to a diagnosis of serious illness and It is something that we never really think about happening to us. The time is now to get you and your families protected, Life Insurance and Critical Illness Cover is so important for you all, so speak to me about how this can be done without delay.

I have contacts in the UK and the UAE who I would be happy to connect you to. And, for all of you that take out your insurances before the end of 2017, a voucher will be sent to you as a well done to you!”
